On Friday, 17 April 2026, a working meeting was held with representatives of the City of Goražde, during which progress in the implementation of the AIMS project, funded under the INTERREG IPA ADRION programme, was presented.
As a partner local community of the Resource Environmental Center (REC) and a pilot area within the project, the City of Goražde will significantly improve the monitoring and management of landslides in its territory through the establishment of a modern early warning system platform and the development of a landslide cadaster.
In the coming period, experts from the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Civil Engineering of the University of Tuzla will begin implementing activities related to the preparation of the landslide cadaster. Following its establishment, the City of Goražde will, with donated equipment and staff training, receive a modern platform for monitoring and managing landslides.
This activity represents an important step towards greater citizen safety and more efficient planning of landslide protection measures.
