An introductory meeting was held with the representatives of the Department for Spatial Planning and Property and Legal Affairs/Subdivision for Issuing Location Permits and Environmental Protection of the Brčko District Government.
Representatives of the relevant Department were informed of the NEST Project and its components relating to the provision of technical support to institutions/competent ministries in the process of adopting new environment protection-related laws and bylaws. The situation and processes related to the drafting and adoption of the new Law on Environmental Protection of the Brčko District, and the needs for assistance in the upcoming cooperation were discussed. The ultimate goal is to adopt understandable and applicable legislation that is in line with EU directives.
