Development of a Waste Management Plan for the Protected Natural Areas of the Sarajevo Canton

The project “Development of a Waste Management Plan for the Protected Natural Areas of the Sarajevo Canton” is a one-year project implemented by the Resource Environmental Center (REC), and financially supported by the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of BiH.

Protected natural areas in the Sarajevo Canton are important tourist destinations due to its natural, cultural, and esthetic values. A large number of tourists who visit such destinations inevitably leave smaller or larger quantities of waste and the problem of its disposal remains to be solved by the staff at such destinations.
