3rd Partners Meeting – AIMS Project Partners Gather to Advance Landslide Monitoring Solutions in the ADRION Region

On 13th of May, project partners on AIMS project from seven countries across the ADRION region (Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, BIH, Serbia, Albania and Greece), convened for a full-day coordination meeting in Sarajevo (BIH) to review progress, discuss technical milestones, and plan the next steps for the implementation of innovative landslide monitoring and early warning systems. The meeting, hosted by Resource Environmental Center Sarajevo, brought together all project partners to assess the status of project implementation, refine methodologies, and reinforce collaboration.

The event opened with an in-depth presentation from lead partner (Università Politecnica delle  Marche) on project management and reporting activities, including insights into the midterm review, financial performance, and upcoming deliverables.

A central focus of the meeting  was the strategic approach to landslide assessment in the ADRION region and finalization of the Landslides Monitoring and Early Prediction System. University of Patras (Greece) and Romagna Tech, Italian partner, introduced the historical climatological data and architecture and timeline of the data management platform being developed to support interoperable data collection and real-time system integration across the region. This predictive system, as one of the central points of the Project will provide real-time information on potential short term scenarios for the effective management of emergency situations connected to landslides in the ADRION Region.

This meeting marked a significant milestone in the project’s implementation, reinforcing technical coordination and cross-border cooperation toward building a resilient and predictive system for landslide risk management across the ADRION region.

AIMS project is supported by the Interreg IPA ADRION programme under the Interreg Funds (European Regional Development Fund and IPA III).
